Fall Season 2013

October 4th, 2013 - It's opening night for the Tampa International Gay & Lesbian Film Festival and the first film is FREE! The night will begin at the Tampa Theatre with food trucks arriving at 6PM, Orange Carpet (not Red ) coverage at 7pm and doors open at 7:30PM. Immediately after the screening of the opening film The Happy Sad the night continues with The Orange Party at the fabulous downtown venue The Vault. This event is sponsored by Reeves Import Motor Cars and the Friends of the Festival Fund.

Organic Sculpture with an Industrial Edge, Fashion purses, jewelry, ties all from SPATHOSE. Meet the amazing designers, Scott Durfee and partner of 24 years George Medeiros. The art is stunning and the collections amazes. Spathose has been featured all over the Tampa Bay Area and now with their Kickstarter campaign in full force George and Scott are on a mission of expanding their brand. The two sat down with Jorge at Zen Bistro International Plaza.

"Recycle, re-use, re-purpose is a large part of our process. Besides the spathe itself, we try to incorporate as much salvaged materials as possible. In our eyes, every bit of conservation helps to keep the Earth revolving for future inhabitants. " Spathose

Meet Roxanna Medina a Tampa native who has been modeling for the past 11 years. Not only can she strut her stuff on the runway but Roxie is savvy business lady with a successful career in the Hospitality Industry as well. She is currently the GM at the exquisite Zen Bistro International Plaza.

September 27, 2013-Tampa Bay Fashion Week's highly anticipated Grand Fashion Show at the Hilton Downtown hosted by Jorge Alvarado and CBS's Holley Sinn wowed the audience. The Jorge Show will give you a sneak peak of some of the event's featured designers, including Kato Kealin, Audrey "Pat" McGhee, Elizabeth Carson Racker, Kimberly Hendrix, Rhonda Shear, and students from the International Academy of Design & Technology. As well as backstage action and exclusive interviews with the designers and models. 

This week Tampa International Gay and Lesbian Film Festival (TIGLFF) president Jason Stewart will also be on the show. Jason, a NY native who moved to Tampa in 2002 to attend the University of Tampa and the youngest to ever be president of the organization sits down with Jorge at the historic Tampa Theatre to discuss the the growth and evolvement of the 24th annual TIGLFF which kicks off Friday, October 4th. We also find out why there is Orange carpet instead of Red. 

With a nod to his great influences such as The Beatles, Tom Petty, The Kinks, Elliot Smith, and The Traveling Wilburys, Marco Argiro's "Love" calls to mind a psychedelic era of rock and roll infused with harmonies reminiscent of West Coast sounds of the 70's. In conjunction with the release of his title track "Love" from his upcoming album , Macro Argiro spares no detail in this candid interview with Jorge.

Jorge caught up with them at the recent Vans Warped Tour. Also joining the show is DJ Ferry Corsten, one of the world's top 10 spinners.
